In today’s day and age, getting a pet together is typically one of the first steps that couples take in their relationship. So it may not come as a big surprise that couples are trying to incorporate their furry friends into their big day. After all, pets become a child-figure, and they are so darn cute! Figure out a way that you can incorporate your pet into your wedding.
This one is more for our men. If you are about to pop the question and haven’t yet decided on how to do it, there are many ideas on how to incorporate your pets! You can buy an outfit for your animal to wear that pops the question, or you can tie the ring to its collar. Talk about a cute proposal story!
Many couples are skipping this step, and we don’t know why. Getting engagement photos are a perfect option for your Save the Dates and what better opportunity to incorporate your animals than in these photos. Dress them in a bowtie and hang a sign from your pet’s neck saying “my humans are getting married” or simply “save the date.”
Incorporating your animal into your wedding ceremony may be difficult, especially if your venue has strict rules, however, if they do allow for this, having your furry friend walk down the aisle will be sure to bring your guests to their feet. Think about dressing your pet up and making them a ring bearer or the “dog of honor.” Also, consider having the flower girl walk them down on a lease with a sign that says “here comes the bride.”
Not sure how your pet would do at your actual wedding? That is ok, think about incorporating them into your thank you cards. Nothing is cuter then snapping a picture with the entire family and sending out your new happy little family to all of your guests.
